Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Spinaway handles your information — which, to put it simply, it doesn't.
Privacy-First Design
Spinaway is built with your privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or share any of your personal information. The app was designed from the ground up to work entirely without a network connection or a user account.
1. No Data Collection
Spinaway does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app functions entirely offline and does not request, save, or transmit any user data to us or to any third party. Everything you do in the app — the wheels you create, the spins you make, the stats that accumulate — exists only on your device.
2. No Internet Required
The app works without an internet connection. It does not send or receive data from any server, and it does not track or monitor your in-app behavior. The only network requests the app makes are opening legal document URLs (this website) in an in-app web view when you tap Privacy Policy or Terms of Service in Settings. No data is transmitted as part of those requests beyond what your device's browser sends by default (IP address, browser user agent).
3. No Third-Party Services
Spinaway does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash-reporting libraries, or tracking tools. There is no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Facebook SDK, or similar service embedded in the app. The app has no external dependencies that could receive your data.
4. Local Storage Only
The app uses Hive (an on-device, encrypted key-value store) to persist your wheel definitions and spin history, and shared_preferences to store simple flags (such as whether you have completed onboarding). All of this data is stored in your device's application sandbox. It is never backed up to our servers and is not included in iCloud backups unless you have enabled "iCloud Backup" for the app in your iOS Settings.
5. Safe for All Ages
The app is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for users aged 13 and above. It contains no inappropriate content, no advertising, and does not gather any information from users, including minors.
6. Your Control
Because all data is stored locally, you have full control at all times. You can:
- Delete individual wheels or your entire spin history from within the app (Settings → Danger Zone → Reset all data).
- Uninstall the app to permanently remove all local data from your device.
We have no copy of your data and cannot recover it on your behalf.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. Any updates will be reflected in the latest version of the app or on this page. Continued use of the app after an update to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
